something has been seriously bugging me for quite a while now.
can wizards make money with their magic?
it would seem like they wouldn't be allowed to, but hermione passes out galleons to people for the da in ootp. there were quite a few people in that little club, and galleons seem to be worth a lot so i don't think she gave out real money.
but if a witch not even finished with school could conjure money, why are the weasley's so poor?

exactly... why would Lupins cloaks be tattered? and why didnt they just fix the tea cups when they broke.. rather then the dustbin.. why would Arthurs office be so small, when he can make cars trunks bigger etc...
the money is made by goblins.. I suppose anyone could make it.. but anyone can make our money too.. its against the law.. just cuz we can do it.. doesnt mean we wouldnt go to jail....
but.. if you can conjure stuff up like chairs and stuffs.. uhhh.. why cant they conjure other stuffs up?

This is probably one of those things we're not meant to think about too much, heh... Or maybe there are rules about certain things in the wizarding world, just like the Muggle world...

I believe there are rules, rules are required to make a place work and then there are those who ignore the rules. I bet there are many wizards sent down to the MOM for punishment

Oh, I'm sure there are perfectly logical explanations. We simply haven't discovered them yet and no one's bothered to ask Rowling....
