Post by PotionsGirl on Nov 30, 2004 9:24:50 GMT 10
I have over 20 first cousins, about 15 of those are married and have two-four kids. so I am basically drowing in cousins my grandma had ten kids, two died. all 8 had kids, my aunt got divorced, dad never married and the 6 are married.

my gran is one of five.. and two of them had 10... she had 2 and the other had one.. the ten just went on a breeding frenzy.. and hell I have no clue how many I actually have.. nor do I want to! irish catholics.. whatcha gonna do? I have relatives all over the place on that side.. more distant mind you.. One of my biggest fears.. was that when I was dating.. Id start to see a relative.. so I would always ask if they came from a big family....

yea, my grandmother is one of 10 kids and each of them had 5+ kids then on the other side my grandmother is one of 12 kids, and 3 of the boys have been lost, no one knows where they are, so really i could be related to anyone... scary so my mom has like 57+ cousins and my dad has 30+, its alot of family.

cool, I like mixing religions, I don't think there is one right religion as long as you are a good person and treat others the way you would like to be treated. oh and respect nature

copletely agree with you... actually its really cool because the Buddhism I practice has no conflicts with any religion, so you could chant (my practice) and still believe in God, or Allah, or whatever you have faith in. Its very cool. actually alot of the people i know practice both Wicca and the same sect of Buddhism that I practice.

yep, both religions/ faiths are based on a relationship with the whole. The circle-of-life idea if you please. the Buddhism I practice puts you in a medetative state. With Wicca you draw on the power of the earth and worship the God and Goddess, maily the Goddess as a "mother earth" figure. Obviously this explanation is a glittering generality, but both are similar in practice with only slight differences in theory. I don't know a whole lotabout Wicca, what I do know is from books. Bt if you want to know more about Buddhism, you can check out: www.sgi-usa.org they have pretty good explanations. There are many different sects of Buddhism, I practice Daishonin's Buddhism. but Zen Buddhism is pretty popular and more advertised than the one I practice, however Daishonin's Buddhism is actually a more widely practiced sect than Zen.

The independent search for truth 2. The oneness of the human race 3. The unity of all religions 4. The elimination of all prejudice 5. The harmony of science and religion 6. The equality of men and women 7. Universal education 8. A universal language 9. Abolition of extreme wealth and poverty 10. A world court 11. Work as worship 12. Justice with universal peace. ;D

some say its the devils work... that peeps arent suppose to have just one language.... dunno... wasnt that a punishment from god anyway? hell if peeps could all talk and communicate not just talk... there would be no wars... I mean.... most are over 'my gods better then yours is' 'your god is stupid mine is the only god' 'my god can beat up your god' etc... people in general are a waste of time.. resistance to world peace is really alarming... oh well.. pass the cheese!

truely how hard is it for some people to say "well i know i'm going to heaven and your going to hell, now I can leave you alone to worship whomever or whatever you want"
it would make life so much easier.
